Mia and Damani got married!

What can I say about Mia and Damani's wedding other than it was amazing! I'm blessed to have such wonderful clients - it makes an already fun job something extra special!

Random Tuesday

Just dropping off the odd bits of randomness kicking around in my head...

What is the deal with 40-something degree weather in Florida? In March?

-----

I'm super excited because I just found out that I'll be traveling to Thailand at the end of April! Not looking forward to the 17 hour flight, but it's going to be SO worth it! I'll be spending time in Bangkok, Chiang Rai, and on the island of Koh Samui.

Add that to an already full schedule and a week in Hawaii in May and that now means my next available portrait session is in June! Priority will be given to engagement sessions of couples getting married soon, so contact me now to schedule your shoot!

Previously on...HUH? What do you mean there's no LOST this week? %!$#@ writer's strike!

Had a blast yesterday at the Rockstar Roadtrip Workshop run by Corey McNabb and Amber Holritz. Corey's a fantastic wedding photographer and Amber is an amazing lifestyle baby photographer. Both gave us awesome tips and lots to think about! That's one of the cool things about photographey - there's always new things you and learn and people in this industry are so generous with sharing that knowledge!

Borrowed these pics off my dear friend Suzie Seagraves' blog.

It's a dog's life: Mason

It's been so long since I've done a pet portrait session, I'd forgotten just how much I enjoy them! I loved crawling around on the ground while photographing Mason at her owner Laura's home. Isn't she a cutie?

You know you're having a bad day when...

you go to Burger King to grab lunch (an infrequent treat, I swear!) and the broiler is busted. That means no burgers. At Burger King. Argh. LOL

I did what any fast food craving gal would do - went across the street to Wendys!

Engaged: Alison & Ross

Alison was the winner of the blog contest I ran for a free engagement session back in January! She and Ross are getting married this coming October and we had a blast shooting their engagement session on the campus of Rollins College.

Danielle & Steven are getting married!

Danielle & Steven are such a cut couple and we had a blast roaming around downtown Winter Park for their engagement session.

and, of course, what's life without a little flare?

Blooming Memories and Gia's Cafe grand opening party!

Last night I had the pleasure of attending the grand opening party of Blooming Memories and Gia's Cafe over in Sanford. Gia's catered and the Italian food is to die for! (High praise coming for an Italian girl like myself!)

In Print: ISLANDS Magazine April/May 2008

Seems like just yesterday that I was freezing (by Florida standards!) while shooting the Ash Street Inn on Amelia Island! Pick up the new issue of ISLANDS and see the results!

Engaged: Kristen + Miguel

Kristen and Miguel made a weekend of it and drove up from Boca for their engagement session! And holy cow were they troopers! It was 60 degrees and windy as all get out!

We wandered around the downtown area a bit (and if you're a Lord of the Rings dork like I am, you'll squeeeee with delight like I did when you see the hobbit hole!)

Just before sunset, we hung out in the bait shop near the end of the pier to warm up. I love this shot of Kristen and Miguel! They're listening to one of the shopkeepers telling us the story of how he met his wife on that very pier!

Cue amazing sunset (check out that wind!) and fade to black.

Can't wait to photograph your wedding in December you two!

Ashley + Jason: soon to be wed's!

Ashley and Jason are college sweethearts who are getting hitched next March! Jason's finishing up law school and Ashley is an editor at a travel magazine (does it get any cooler than that?) We had fun playing on the beach, despite the wind and the cold!

Jason did good with the bling!

Callie + James: Forever

So I finally got caught up on other stuff and had a moment to check out my images from Callie + James' wedding. I always enjoy second shooting for other photographers because it gives me an opportunity to play and come up with some fun images.

The flowers were gorgeous!

but not more gorgeous than the bride!

I love their excitement as they came into the reception!

Coolest guestbook ever! James is a musician, so they had everyone sign an acoustic guitar!

On each table, they had little booklets with info about everyone in the wedding party!

All right, I'm off to the beach for some engagement sessions! Check back tomorrow for a sneak peek!

James + Callie

So this past weekend I shot at James & Callie's wedding in St. Augustine with my new friends Krystal and Andrea of Mint & Sage Photographic Artists. It was a gorgeous wedding and we had so much fun shooting it. I haven't had a chance to comb through all my shots (though Krystal has!) hence the lack of a full post here, but you can see the slideshow on M&S's blog.

Who needs sleep?

When you can shoot fun stuff like this! Between traveling back and forth to St. Augustine for a wedding Saturday and a bridal show today, I've had about 6 hours of sleep total in the past two days and I'm runing on empty. But I love my job and cool images like this make lack of sleep seem not so bad! More to come soon from Callie + James' St. Aug wedding!
